Location: Middleton, WI (Hybrid/Remote Available for Wisconsin-Based Candidates)
Employment Type: Full-Time | Temporary Contract

Schedule

  • Monday through Friday
  • 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

About the Opportunity

We are partnering with a highly respected healthcare organization to hire an experienced Contract Manager to support non-IS procurement and sourcing initiatives within a fast-paced healthcare environment.

This position will focus heavily on supplier agreements, contract negotiations, strategic sourcing, and risk mitigation related to medical, laboratory, and operational purchasing categories. The ideal candidate will be comfortable reviewing and redlining contract language, managing multiple sourcing projects, and collaborating cross-functionally with stakeholders, clinicians, and leadership teams.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced procurement and contract professional looking to work on high-level sourcing initiatives within healthcare operations.

What You’ll Do

  • Review, redline, and negotiate contract terms and conditions
  • Negotiate supplier agreements and contract risk clauses
  • Manage sourcing and contracting initiatives from start to finish
  • Support RFx processes including supplier evaluations and bid reviews
  • Conduct market, supplier, and contract analysis
  • Collaborate with clinicians, operational teams, stakeholders, and leadership
  • Maintain contract documentation and compliance within ERP systems
  • Coordinate contract execution, approvals, and supplier communication
  • Monitor supplier performance and contract compliance
  • Support strategic sourcing and category management initiatives
  • Assist with issue resolution and process improvements
  • Manage multiple projects and shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field preferred
    • Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in:
    • Contract management
    • Strategic sourcing
    • Contract negotiations
    • Supplier management
    • Market and financial analysis
  • Minimum of 2 years of ERP system experience, preferably Oracle ERP
  • Experience negotiating and redlining contract language
  • Strong understanding of procurement processes and risk mitigation
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Office and Excel proficiency
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be based in Wisconsin

Preferred Qualifications

  • Healthcare industry experience
  • Medical industry exposure from a contract management perspective
  • Lab and/or Operating Room procurement or contracting experience strongly preferred
  • Experience with supplier negotiations and strategic sourcing initiatives
  • Experience supporting medical, clinical, or operational purchasing categories

Licenses & Certifications

  • CPSM – Certified Professional in Supply Management preferred
  • CMRP – Certified Materials & Resource Professional preferred

Training & Work Environment

  • Approximately 2 to 4 weeks of onboarding and training depending on experience
