We are seeking a Finance Manager to join our team. The position is remote, but the candidate must be able to travel to Norfolk, VA, and the DC Metro area regularly. As a Finance Manager , you will lead and manage multiple indirect budgets, act as a business partner to achieve financial goals, and provide leadership and strategic guidance to the business area. Reporting to a Finance Director, you will ensure contractual compliance, cost management, and budget development for US government contracts. A strong understanding of Government Contracting and experience with government financial project support are essential. You will oversee performance, training, recruiting, and assessment of financial staff, mentoring staff, and ensuring deadlines are met. You will also oversee the timely and accurate submission of financial reports including revenue, EBITDA, and cash. Key responsibilities include: Act as a Business Partner to business leaders, providing financial analysis and guidance. Prepare and present monthly financial reports to management. Utilize accounting systems and financial tools for reporting. Manage a portfolio of programs and understand various contract types and customers. Manage indirect budgets and provide guidance on all financial and program control responsibilities. Review financial performance and revenue recognition, ensuring accuracy. Manage Accounts Receivable and cash collections. Support proposals and contract negotiations, understanding contracts and RFPs. Ensure responsiveness to program, customer, and corporate needs. Use creative resource planning to meet deliverables timely. Communicate effectively with leadership and manage key operational issues. Identify and communicate improvements in financial processes and applications. Respond to inquiries for financial data and act as the main interface with auditors. Minimum requirements include a Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related fields, 7+ years of management experience, knowledge of US GAAP, strong government contracting finance experience, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Travel may be required. Experience with Costpoint, Cognos, Hyperion, and SmartView is preferred.
