Job Description

Regional Licensed Banker

At Allegacy, our roots run deep anchored in a longstanding commitment to doing right by our members and the communities we serve. Every role within our organization plays a vital part in nurturing the relationships that make that promise real. As a member of our team, you'll be empowered to live out our brand every day, building meaningful connections that support the financial wellbeing of those who count on us most.

Allegacy Financial is seeking a Regional Licensed Banker to support both Retail Banking and the Allegacy Investment Group (AIG) by delivering a holistic, relationship-based member experience across our geographic footprint. In this role, you will serve as a trusted Financial Concierge, Financial Center Investment Partner, and Financial Center Savings and Investment Coach, helping members navigate financial decisions with confidence and clarity.

You will engage members in exceptional discovery-based conversations to understand their goals, life stages, and financial priorities, and provide thoughtful, personalized solutions that are always in their best interest. Working closely with branch teams and internal partners (including wealth management, mortgage, business services, and lending) you will help connect members to the right expertise and resources, ensuring a coordinated and seamless experience.

As a Licensed Banker, you function similarly to a Member Advisor, with the added benefit of holding securities licenses that allow you to refer investment and insurance products alongside retail banking solutions. You will focus on developing meaningful relationships with both new and existing members, identifying opportunities to add value through advice, education, and integrated financial solutions. In doing so, you play an important role in helping members build confidence, make informed decisions, and work toward long-term financial well-being.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a visible financial leader within assigned financial centers, dedicating approximately 80% of time onsite to strengthen member relationships and support retail teams.
  • Champion a culture of discovery and engagement by leading morning huddles and delivering individualized coaching and training that elevates member conversations.
  • Execute disciplined, strategic outreach through protected daily call blocks to deepen relationships, advance planning conversations, and ensure timely follow-up.
  • Own and grow a portfolio of member relationships, building trust, expanding engagement, and fostering long-term loyalty through consistent, values-based advice.
  • Lead meaningful member appointments and in-depth discovery conversations to uncover financial goals, life transitions, and planning opportunities.
  • Orchestrate joint member meetings with internal partners, acting as a connector to align expertise and deliver a seamless, team-based experience for complex needs.
  • Proactively identify gaps, risks, and opportunities, translating insights into thoughtful, integrated financial solutions that support members' best interests.
  • Deliver a high-touch member experience by responding promptly and professionally to inquiries and concerns, ensuring clarity, confidence, and resolution.
  • Drive sustainable growth through intentional collaboration and proactive outreach, providing financial guidance that aligns solutions with members' goals and life stages.
  • Cultivate strong internal partnerships across Wealth Management, Mortgage, Business Services, Lending to support referrals, shared objectives, and holistic member outcomes.

Requirements

Education:

  • High school diploma is required; bachelor's degree is preferred.

Experience/Skills

  • 5-10 years in Retail Banking with 3 plus years as a Licensed Banker.
  • Strong knowledge of banking regulations, operational standards, and compliance.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, CRM systems, and core banking platforms.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities across locations.
  • Ability to train and coach team members.
  • Willingness to travel to all financial centers in the Allegacy footprint.

Required Licensing

  • Hold NC Life and Health Insurance licenses to sell fixed annuities and term insurance.
  • Required FINRA Securities Industry Essentials (SIE)
  • Optional FINRA Series 6 or 7
  • Optional FINRA Series 63 and Series 65 or Series 66
  • Registration with Broker/Dealer LPL Financial
